The next morning, we had breakfast in Chinatown, NY....
i guess i was really hungry so the food tasted really good....
=) it was some Hong Kong station shop.....
After breakfast, went to Wall Street....
Wall Street
Donald Trump's building =)
After that, on the way for a cruise ride, we passed by
the VERY FAMOUS "Ground Zero".... previously known
as the "WORLD TRADE CENTER" ....yeps, everything is
gone after 9/11.... what's left is just a big hole
with nothing at all! But construction is going on and
they're rebuilding it and it would be up by 2012.....
Here, i took the cruise ride to see the Statue of Liberty....
After the cruise, went to New York's Time Square....
Went for the Madame Tussauds' wax museum....
Hmm, much bigger than the Hong Kong wax museum
that i went to! =) But wasnt that fun since you're just taking
pictures with a bunch of wax figures... some doesnt even look
like the real star..... *swt* especially the brad pitt and angelina
jolie's wax figure.... My favourite was the American Idol stage.... haha,
see me in action =) KATHLEEN IS YOUR NEXT AMERICAN
IDOL....muahahahahhaha
Albert Einstein & I....
yeps, even simon cowell sitting on the side was amazed by
my singing...hahahahahaha *rolls-eyes*
I loveeeee the chicken burger @ McD... it's tastier...
unfortunately NO CHILLI SAUCE for my fries =(
So this is me at New York's Times Square...
I so love the billboard with the "OMFG"...
it's cut off in this pic *swt* obscene
but cool!!! =) After that we went to United Nations. Bag checks *sigh*...
boring procedure! It's so strict, you have to take off ur jackets...
and then put them on back again! *but well better than the airport
checking procedure....sigh*
Anyway, then we left to Rockefeller Center... Urmx,
Rockefeller is one of the "rich & famous" in NY... so he has his own
center, brands, buildings....whatsoever........DAMN! nvm,
u'll soon be seeing a "kathleen's center" muahahahaha!
Right below, is Elmo and I.... arent we cute? both in red!
hehe anyway, i was at the NBC shop- sell loads of
TV shows merchandise.... like Heroes and etc.... but since
i am not really into all these TV series, so i didnt buy anything there!
Finally, i went up to the Empire State Building.....
all that i can say is that, THERE WERE WAY TOO MANY
people inside and damn, i had to queue almost an hour before i got
to the top..... One thing that annoys me is that in US, going up to buildings
like the Empire State building or any of their historical buildings, they have
bag checks and metal detectors! THESE PEOPLE ARE DEFINITELY
LIVING IN FEAR...... !!!
View from the Empire State Building
Philadelphia
After that, we left to Philadelphia and dinner wasnt nice but well,
was really tired because of JET LAG...still not used to the NY time
which is 12 hours diff from KL's time.... so, all i wanted was a BED....
to sleep....felt really dizzy! By around 10 pm, i reached philadelphia....
and stayed at Marriott Hotel for a night! Somehow, i still think the designs
of the hotels in KL (those that i've stayed in before) are much nicer than
those in the States! In the morning, we went to the Philadelphia's
Independence Hall....
the building that you see right behind me... doesnt it look familiar?
Hehe, seen it somewhere? Yeps Yeps, if you've watched National Treasure...
this is the place where Nicholas Cage thought that the treasure was hidden!!
After that we went to the United State's Mint...
hmm, that's where their coins are made! Nothing much..... and again
BAGS & HANDPHONES not allowed and has got to show ID or Passport
before you can get inside *swt*
Washington D.C.
After the mint, we left to Washington D.C. .... Hmm by the time
we reached, it was around lunch time, so we had lunch and
then head on to George Washington Memorial. You see
the tall building, yeps that's the memorial.... =)
And then to the Capitol Hill- looks more like a mosque to me...
.... but well nicer than those in KL since this one is with a small
little lake! Went for other memorials as well like Thomas Jefferson
and Abraham Lincoln (no pictures uploaded for that since it's just
me and the statue)
Finally to the WHITE HOUSE...muahahahahha
well unfortunately cant even get near to the gates
since security was tight....
After White House, we went to the National History Museum...
Okay, the pieces of arts in this HUGE building are all really
beautiful. Unfortunately, i'm not one who knows how to appreciate
art pieces.... so pretty wasted eh? BUT WELL it's beautiful....
=) no doubt
Hmm actually i was looking forward to this exhibition
outdoor - in between of the national history museum and
the aerospace museum.... =) There were all these police officers
with their bikes, trucks and helicopters.... navy, etc and they displayed
all those types of guns, weapons, grenades that they use.... pretty
interesting! ^^
I sat in this helicopter =) niceeeee!!!
My aunt and I on top of the tank =) there's all this
huge tanks around...
Hah, i shall drive this, HOMELAND SECURITY.... =)
Finally, my FAVOURITE PIC.... me ON THE POLICE BIKE!
This is rare!!! ^^
Alright, after that we went to the Korean memorial ground, yeps yeps,
basically a memorial for all those American soldiers that sacrificed for their
country... HEY AT least the American's honor these ppl who have died...
i dont see such memorial grounds in Malaysia???? and even so, what's
impressive is that the names of these people who sacrificed
were carved on to the walls....
So here's something good " Freedom is not Free"
After that left for dinner then back to the hotel- Hyatt =)
Alright, will continue my trip in the next post!! g2g sleep now...
