Yes, finally found
the time to update.
Since 23rd Dec
until yesterday, i was
extremely busy.
I didn't even have enough of
sleep almost every night,
needing to sleep late and
wake up super early.
Karaoke sessions, late
night horror movies,
shopping, christmas
party, buffet and etc.
Totally crazy can?
Okay i don't wanna explain much,

Christmas Eve
Yes, the usual dinner gathering
with my family.
So here i am with my cousins,

of my life that my young pri. 2 cousin

better than i do.....

And both my cousins

That makes me sigh

Oh well, as for me,
personally i like this year's
presents better because they
are much more practical than
all the perfume sets and watches
that i've got although i totally love my
moschino and anna sui sets as well
as my guess watches =)
but to think about it, how many perfumes
and lotions do i really need?
I'm really that smelly meh ?!!!??
Thank god i didnt get any perfumes this
year because my uncle opened his present
and got a ferragamo cologne and
both my cousin sis and I were thinking
"crap is ours gonna be
a perfume as well like AGAIN?"

Okay so on Christmas day, we had
our usual buffet brunch at some hotel.
And this year, Shangri-La's Lemon Garden
cafe like again. Of all the places,

When it comes to buffet,
i only look forward to dessert

My dad actually wanna get

dinner gathering.

i have too many stuff in black,
hence she forced me to get the

Oh well!

Almost everything
on discount, so cheap

thanks to my mom and aunt.

and this is the story behind it all......
First of all it's pressure and expectations
You know when you score well on exams,
teachers and lecturers somehow expect
some sort of standard from you, it's very
stressful but it pushes you to live up
to their expectations.
Oh well, teachers and lecturers are one
thing. Parents is another. Since
young until this moment, my parents
has never really bothered much about
the way i study neither help me out
with my schoolwork. There's only one thing
important to them- outcome of it,
results. Thus, i've been independent
since young and never relied on
anyone to ask me to study but
myself. My dad only said this
once....
"If you don't wanna study, up to you,
after form 5, you can stay at home
and help clean the house"
Funny, you may think. Believe me,
it's extremely hard to live up
to my parents expectations
especially my mom's.
You can get 80/100 or maybe
90/100. You feel so proud,
your friends feel proud of
you but my mom will
never say "Keep up
with the good work" but
instead "Why so low?"
Pressure kan?
Thirdly, it's extremely stressful
for me to be living with
a sibling and cousins that
are born smart. And i
can't help it that my parents
love to compare me with
them.....*sigh*
I always thought i'm doing
quite well in college with
my CGPA meeting requirements
for most universities but slightly
lower from the requirement
to get a scholarship....
...that is until i helped my
brother collect his transcript
just a few months ago and
my eyes nearly popped out
looking at his results. I
knew he was good but
i didn't know that good.
He scored a CGPA of
3.8 out of a 4 and all
the subjects he took,
lowest was an A-,
not even a B+ can
be seen.
Stressful?
I'm feeling it... but
there's more.
When he entered Indiana-Purdue U,
majoring in his biochem, he sustained
his scholarship by scoring 3.7 CGPA
and above. Now he's doing his PhD
for some DNA stuff and still being
offered a full scholarship.
*sigh* no wonder the comparison.
Kathleen no scholarship.
No CGPA with a 3.8
Well as if having a smart sibling
isnt bad enough, my cousin sister
is even better than my own brother.
Sometimes, i really do look up to
her... i really wonder where she
get her brains from!
Since young, she has scored straight A's
for everything, UPSR, PMR and even
when she left to an International school,
she scored straight A's for her GCSE.
Then she left to Taylor's to do her
A Levels, all i heard is that she did
so well, Taylor awarded her with
some cash and etc. Now majoring
in law, studying in University of
London.... she's under scholarship
and not a surprise, she was the
top Year 1 law student for her course.
She must be out of her right mind.
She already has got two law firms
awaiting her.
Okay, like my brother and her
isn't enough to kill my self-esteem.
Her brother, my cousin bro, is doing
well himself, following the footsteps
of his sister, scoring straight A's for
his GCEO LEVEL.
and finally, my other cousin sister
who's living in Singapore. During Pri.6,
they would have this exam similar
to UPSR but it's more like streaming
to see whether you are able to get into a
good high school or not. She did so
well, she came up top 3 highest
scorer of the whole of Singapore.
She immediately obtained full
scholarship, manage to get into
the top girl school in Singapore
and she doesn't have to sit for
GCSE but can skip it and
immediately go for A Levels.
Now, i feel like i'm the black sheep
of the family.....
And it's not funny, at all.
What do you do when you live
with a bunch of smart people?
Pressure and stress giler giler!
You set a high standard for
yourself as well, thus
you become a kiasu!
YOU have to be a kiasu
to reach for that high
standard that you've set
for youself.......
Oh well it works both ways
It's not for pride but
that self-fulfillment
and self-achievement.

today, i went to Sg wang to see JJ Lin.
First impression of JJ based on
what i see from the TV and magazines,
is that i always thought he was quite
chubby and a lil fat.
But believe me, the first time i saw
him 2 years ago, i totally couldn't
believe my eyes because i expected
him to be really chubby but he's
not and he's actually quite fit.
And totally so cute when he
smiles, showing off his dimples.
Until today, i still think JJ
isnt very photogenic compared
to many other artists because
he still looks chubby on pictures...
