Just gonna make it short =) ... wanna sleep.
Too tired.
Sorry for the lack of updates.
Super busy with assgs =)
29th March 2009
Melbourne city
Thai, cultural and food festival

Melanie, yean sia & I
Later on in the night, went to a Japanese restaurant
in the city to celebrate Freedy's b'day.

And that's him =)

Me, Cam, Anna, Freedy, Jasmine, Yean Sia,
Mel & Charlene

Eug, Christopher, Ian, Freedy, Ken, Allan &
Sin
After dinner, we went to Lygon Street for
ICE CREAM @ Freddo. Yay!
Unfortunately, i needed a toilet then but
there wasnt any. Hence, i ended up not
eating any ice cream at all =(
I wanted to try the durian flavoured ice cream.
It smelt so good okay?

Another group pic...
Thanks to Danial who drove us home =)
It gave me a very home-ly feeling, almost
like the ones when i'm back in KL. *sigh*
I miss that.....
And on Thursday night, LG celebrated the March/April
birthday babies @ Crystal's house.
It was a dressed up party. WTH.
I wasnt even prepared for that.
Half of my clothes are still being shipped
over to me =(

Crystal, Cam, Me, Yean Sia, Mel, Charlene,
Jasmine, Anna & Karen

Games =.=

More group pictures.

More random pix.
And on Friday night, Koko Black @ Lygon Street.
Chocolate! My love.
But i have to admit, Max Brenner's
chocs were much better.

Me & Charlene
Lygon Street is an Italian street and
the Friday that we went, it was like two days
before the F1 race.
The coolest part was when we saw 4
red Ferraris and 1 orange lamborghini
parked along the street in a row.
I super <3

and here we are being jakun, taking picture
with one of the ferrari lolx.
After that we went to Melanie & Charlene's
house and what started out to be a normal
conversation about Sue Han became
a talk about life experiences among us.
.JPG)
Look at all these sad ppl.

Me & Sue Han.
And our chatting session finally ended
at 3.20 a.m. & me, eug, yean sia, sin &
sue han walked back home.
Totally crazy
the GIRL was here at 10:55 PM - Melbourne .
Finally, after one month of settling down
in Melbourne, we finally found time
to start checking out places for future hang outs.
In Malaysia, we have Starbucks and so.
But here, we have Max Brenner.
Woohoo, to all chocolate lovers out there
in Malaysia, you're missing out BIG TIME.
And i really mean it.
Max Brenner's chocolate is absolutely
@$##%$%%^% and that means,
indescribable.
And this is also our very first night outing
with our friends and housemates =) Yipeee!
Night life on a friday night- an unforgettable
experience... i'll talk about that soon enough,
just be patient.

Max Brenner = bald man. Haha.
And the desserts we ordered...

Chocolate cheesecake. Yum Yum!

Pancake with chocolate and ice cream.
Super tasty!

And my favourite, schouffel (i think it's spelt like that)
Gosh, the middle part of the choc cake has got
hot melted chocolate in it.
So delicious, can?

From left to right: Sue Han, Me, Eug, Stella,
Francine, Sin, Charlene, Melanie & Yean Sia.
Oh yeah both Yean Sia and Stella are my housemates =)
and Sin is like Permanent Resident
wahahahhahahahha!
Okay, that's an inside joke.
I don't expect you to understand
what the hell was that either.
Okay, you know how when we first arrived in Melbourne
and everyone keeps telling you, becareful when you
go out on Friday and Saturday nights because
there'll be many drunkards roaming around?
Haha. We kept talking in Max Brenner
and somehow lost track of time. By the time
we actually noticed, it was already 10 pm. And so
we took the train back home.
In the train, there were a few whacky ppl
who were a lil' high from weed or somethin?
'Cause they kept sucking something from a tube that
came out from a backpack and so we assumed it might
be weed cuz they did look high and all. Oh well,
we just tried to avoid those ppl. Once we reached
Caulfield Station (to accompany Melanie & Charlene back home)
no, actually as soon as we stood our
feet out of that train, we were relieved because
we thought, we're finally a distance apart from
those drunk ppl.
But as we were walking out of the station, a girl approached Melanie,
opening her eyes so damn wide and came so damn close to
Melanie's face and roared so loud that the whole street could
hear her. Of course, we got a shock because it was so sudden.
And that drunk/high girl continued to laugh with her friends
and continued doing ridiculous stuff to other ppl. Really
got us freaked out. And the worst part was that,
me, Eug, Sin and Yean Sian still had to catch the last train
back to Glenhuntly station which is one stop away from
Caulfield station.
We had to wait like 15 minutes at the train station with
drunk-looking ppl around. And they just seem to love
to throw their beer bottles on the floor
'causing the glass to shatter everywhere.
And i've just learned to HATE that sound, very much.
It's just so darn annoying, can?
By the time we reached home, it was about 12.30 to
1 Am. And we still had to prepare lunch for our
trip to Mornington, later in the day.
Eug & I made egg mayo sandwich and Yean Sia
& Sin made garlic bread. Yeah, and we had to
wake up super early the next morning because
the bus to Mornington would arrive at 8.45 am.

And here we are at Caulfield station, waiting
for the bus to arrive. And these ppl have come
to call themselves the
"Cooking/groceries gang".
Sin, is of course the leader with his constantly
updated knowledge on groceries prices. Don't ask me how he does it.
He can tell you everyday what is on sales in
Safeway & Coles and he can tell u the exact price
of the particular item from Safeway and Coles.
Yes, he's that GENG ...hahahhaha

And here we are in the bus, left to right:
Sin, Charlene, Freedy, Melanie, Yean Sia,
Me, Eug, Allen & Jonathan.
The guy in front of them = unknown.

On the way to Mornington, cloudy and
dark. Another one of my scenery pic...

Here's CCM = christian sumthin sumthin.
Okay sorry, i dont even remember the name
of the club that i joined. And to ppl who knows
me,
i'm not converted and definitely NOT
becoming religious and all.
I just joined this because my housemate persuaded
me to and i thought, why not? Furthermore,
nothing is gonna change my beliefs that
i do believe in God but the concept of religion
is absolutely irrational. And this club doesn't
force you to go church with them, they're nice people.

Strawberry farm.
It was raining and all muddy but we still happily
pluck our strawberries. Me, Eug, Sin & Charlene.

Another pic near the beach side =)
L to R: Jonathan, Sin, Freedy, Charlene,
Yean Sia, Mel, Allen, me, Cam, Eug

And this was our lunch... =)

Really dark and cloudy

The harbour.

And we were desperately tryin to be different,
hence we ate outdoor....So cool hor?
But.......

we sure learned our lesson when it actually
started to rain while we were eating.....

fish and chips =)
hahahahhaha.... sorry, didnt take a picture of
everyone when it was raining. It was
kelam-kabut and really funny.
And finally, our Mornington trip ended
with a heavy downpour, hence we didnt have
any activities/games. I think, we paid
$28 to get wet. But it was an overall fun
trip,definitely.
We had our dinner in a Korean Restaurant
at Carnegie.

Eug, me, yean sia, Melanie, Sin, Freedy,
Charlene & Ian

Strawberry-licious indeed.
Oh yeah, last Wednesday, Chadstones Shopping
Mall had sales- mall wide. So after class, all of us
went S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G.
Don't worry, for the first time, we didnt bother
checking out K-mart or Safeway.
I bought two bags- the rusty bag i wanted and
a roxy sling bag. And then i got two tops from
Guess.
But still didn't beat my housemates who went
wild shopping. Too bad, didnt have time to take
the picture of bb holding all the plastic bags.
So crazy!
Oh yeah, i should never buy white things ever again.
Grr, i got myself a new white Ripcurl
coin pouch and it got dirty like after the 2nd
time using it... Should have bought the brown
one instead.
Had lunch in Chinatown today,
take a look at what i ate....

Looks familiar? It's bak kut teh.

and this too.... Super spicy cut red chilli
and for dessert, we had....

banana fritter with ice cream. I'm going back
for this again.
It's super.
the GIRL was here at 12:32 AM - Melbourne .
Ever since i left KL, i cant seem to find
any inspiration at all for my blog, hence
the lack of updates.
Finally classes have commenced.
And i can sum up all the lectures in one word.
SUCKS.
I was taken back. I expected the lectures to be
much, much more intriguing but instead i find
the lecturers, especially the psychology
lecturers here to be very, very boring.
In comparison to the ones in HELP, they are surprisingly
a million times more interesting than the ones here.
Of course, i had high expectations especially
towards psychology lecturers since
they're majoring in an area that studies
human behavior, they should know better
the ways to captivate their audience's attention.
How ironic, they call themselves, psychology lecturers.
Furthermore, the psy lecturers that i have come
to known in HELP are hyper, enthusiastic, funny,
interesting and absolutely inconsistent with the stereotypical
views of what a lecturer should be like.
The lecturers i have here are all reading from their own notes,
mumbling away, giving very few examples and when
they do, it'll be examples derived from general
issues instead of those they have experienced before
(which is unfortunately, uninteresting), more mumblings
and every once in awhile, TRY to make a joke that is
considered very mild for me.
If you think i'm being bias.
I am not the only one then.
My housemate's friend even skipped half
the lecture just to cook dinner with his friends!
I'm normally very 'semangat' for the first few months
when i'm in a new place. No skipping classes.
No complains. And always look forward to classes
even if it's from 4-6 pm, i wouldnt mind.
But i'm surprised myself that this time round,
after just 1 or 2 classes, i am already deciding
whether i should be skipping my next lecture.
Too darn boring.
Oh and i don't understand why all psychology
lectures are set in the evening. I have two psy
lectures in the evening, 4- 6pm & another, 5-7 pm.
Next sem would be better, i would have one psy lecture
from 6-8 pm. How great is that? Oh right i should be
thankful, mine isn't the last class of the day that they have
in the University, 7-9 pm. *sigh*
So depressing, really. Let's move away from
depressing stories to happier ones, i always
like my blog post to end with something cheerful.
See how positive i really am =) always leaving
the better things to the last, in that way,
i would leave my keyboards in a better
mood. Insignificant things should never
spoil my day. They don't deserve it.
Better news is that, i am taking sociology
& criminology as my elective/minor.
Sociology is so-so. But criminology totally
caught my attention. Really looking
forward to studying in this area.
Nope, not planning to be a forensic psychology.
I'll be too chicken to even take a good look at the dead corpse.
Just an interest, that's all.
I really don't have any secret intentions to reenact
any CSI-like scenes.
Oh yeah, bb & i had been exploring Melbourne.
Not really the whole of Melbourne, maybe the
more commercialized areas and found
ourselves loving the food. Similar food
to Malaysia =) Irreplaceable
to the ones in Malaysia but some
taste exactly the same.
In Chinatown,

Fried wanton.

Char Kuey Teow

Absolutely love this spicy, sambal chicken.

and pig intestine pepper soup.
We swear we'll go back there for their bak kut teh
and try out the other shops around that sell tom yam
soup, nasi goreng petai and many more.
Apart from that, bb & I went for another
shopping trip, yesterday.

Shopping bags

and receipts... bb likes keeping them..
....don't know why.
Believe me. I didn't buy that much.
It's mainly bb's stuff.

He got his GREEN ripcurl bottle.
I wanted to get my ripcurl coin pouch,
unfortunately the white one is out of stock-
which i'll have to go to another ripcurl shop then.

And then he got this grey shirt
from Giordano.

And this LA stussy t-shirt.
Initially he wanted the NEW YORK
design but his t-shirt size wasnt
available.

Another green converse tee.

and two other white shirts...
As for me, i bought small lil' things.

Cute scarf.

Socks

More socks from converse

blue tee from converse

grey long vest from JayJay's

Two pairs of earrings from Aldo

And this cute pair of boots. It's so comfortable
wearing it 1 !!!!
Today we went down to Chapel St.
Had a nice lunch. Satisfying.
We actually wanted to eat my Hokkien Mee
but the shop wasn't open today..

My pretty-delicious nasi goreng.
Wasnt spicy enough.

Bb's curry chicken. Tasted great actually =)
Guess i'll be M.I.A-ing again until i have materials
to blog about.
I'll be busy-ing as well with my tutorial works/studies &
this pile of assgs that is trying to drown me,
too bad , i can't swim.
Hahaha.
